In an environment where no restrictions were placed on those who practiced medicine or pharmacy, and control was limited for the quality of drugs and medicine, a group of druggists from Charleston, SC saw the need for change. They organized and formed the Pharmaceutical Association of the State of South Carolina. Incorporated March 10, 1876, four years after the first attempt to organize, the Association and its original 50 members began the long process of bringing pharmacy in the 21st century. The Association was formed then for many of the same reasons it exists today– to ensure that all pharmacists be adequately trained, educated and properly licensed to offer quality pharmaceutical services to the public, and to constantly strive for the advancement of the profession of pharmacy.

A health coverage plan provided by an employer or organization to its employees. It offers medical benefits such as hospitalization, doctor visits, prescription drugs, and preventive care. These plans typically have lower premiums than individual health insurance because the risk is spread across a larger group. Employers often share the cost of premiums with employees, making it a cost-effective way for individuals to get health coverage. This benefit is provided by our partner Invictus Group Benefits.

Our Association Retirement Plan allows independent businesses to access the power, pricing, and efficiencies of a large, single retirement plan—while still maintaining their own separate, individually tailored plans. Each participating employer retains full control over their plan design and employee benefits, but gains the advantages typically reserved for large organizations.
By pooling together under one association-sponsored structure, members enjoy “big plan” pricing, professional fiduciary oversight, and a turnkey solution that removes the burden of plan management. It’s the easiest way for small and mid-sized employers to offer a high-quality, competitive retirement benefit without the usual complexity or expense.

Group life insurance policies generally offer basic coverage, with the option for individuals to purchase additional coverage if needed. This employer-sponsored benefit typically covers a percentage of the employee’s salary (e.g., 50–70%) for a set duration, usually between a few weeks to six months. It helps employees maintain financial stability while they recover, and coverage details vary based on the policy and employer plan. A plan that provides income protection to employees who become unable to work due to a serious illness or injury. Benefits may continue for several years or until retirement, depending on the policy terms. Group LTD insurance is generally more affordable than individual coverage and may be employer-paid, employee-paid, or shared. Please download and fill out a census below before submitting any form.

A type of dental coverage provided by employers or other organizations to their employees. It typically offers lower premiums and broader coverage compared to individual plans, as costs are shared among the group. These plans often cover preventive care (e.g., cleanings, exams), basic procedures (e.g., fillings, extractions), and major treatments (e.g., crowns, root canals) at reduced rates. Employers may fully or partially subsidize the premiums, making dental care more affordable for participants. Please download and fill out a census below before submitting any form.
